Brampton Entrepreneurs CA14 Team Presentation

On October 24th, CA14 team members were invited by Prince Khan, Business Associate, Economic Development & Culture City of Brampton, to present at their Entrepreneurs Connect event.  During a one hour presentation to an audience of 25 to 30 – largely micro and small-to-medium-sized businesses – the CA14 Team engaged attendees in a number of areas related to marketing their businesses.

Eric Doubt opened the session with a definition of marketing, brand, and integrated marketing communications. He was followed by Sue Walker who spoke about several aspects of managing successful social media pages. Lori McCabe spoke about how websites are used by customers and managed by small business owners, and Peter Perko led a discussion about developing a brand through graphic design. Finally, Grant Lee wrapped up the presentations by discussing the use of data from public sources and free software for marketing campaigns and customer experience management.

Mr. Khan commented that, “the team’s vast experiences and specialties allowed the audience to learn from real experts who know marketing inside and out.”   Feedback Khan obtained from event attendees say they found the session to be very informative and engaging.  This was the second time that the CA14 team participated in the Entrepreneurs Connect event.
